The aim of 99agora is to create a gathering and practical interchange space around the new organizational and working ways that have been developed in the last year and a half in Spain, specially after May 15th, and the rest of Europe and the Mediterranean zone.
We believe that in the actual context of rights cuts, auterity measures and bail-outs deployed through the whole Europe but that affect partuicullary the countries en the European periphery (so-call PIIGS) the is a growing need of meting, coordinating and working together with other groups and collectives beyond the local and national scales.
Therefore, the intention of this meeting is to create a space in which we can share the stories and histories of different experiences (in round tables), to generate analitical and propositional mechanisms (workshops) and coordinate possible common actions and interventions for the next months (working groups).
Agora99 pretende ser un espacio de encuentro e intercambio práctico en torno a los nuevos modos de organización y formas de trabajo que se ha desarrollado en el último año y medio, en España desde el 15M y en movimientos de paises del resto de Europa y de la zona Mediterránea desde 2011.
Creemos que en el actual contexto de recortes, medidas de austeridad y rescates desplegados en toda Europa y que afectan especialmente a los países de la periferia (los llamados PIIGS) surge de manera acuciante la necesidad de encontrarnos, coordinarnos y trabajar conjuntamente con otros grupos y colectivos más allá de la escala local o nacional.
Por tanto, la intención del encuentro es la de crear espacios donde compartir el relato de las distintas experiencias (mesas redondas), generar mecanismos de análisis y propuesta (talleres) y coordinar posible intervenciones y acciones a nivel europeo para el próximo año (grupos de trabajo).
Round tables will gather around the three working-areas (debt, rights and democracy) and will consist in a check in round (15-minutes) followed by discussion and debate. To propose an intervention in the round tables we need to receive: title of the intervention, the person or group that is going to lead it(web or other information) and a summary of it (no more than 150 words). The tables will be organized by related topics.
Las mesas redondas agruparán distintas experiencias en torno a los tres ejes de trabajo (deuda, derechos y democracia) y consistirán en una ronda de presentaciones de 15 minutos seguida de debates y discusiones. Para proponer una intervención en las mesas redondas, será necesario hacernos llegar: título de la intervención, la persona que la va a realizar, el colectivo o experiencia al que pertenece (web u otro tipo de información) y un pequeño resumen de la misma de 150 palabras. Las mesas se organizarán por temas afines con un máximo de dos por eje.
The workshops are practical spaces with specific objectives and methodologies. In order to coordinate the workshops we would need to know: the title of the workshop, who is going to lead it, the methodology (budgets and objectives), the approximate length and how many people can participate in it.
Los talleres son espacios de trabajo práctico con objetivos y metodologías concretas. Para poder coordinar los talleres necesitaremos saber: el título del taller, quién lo va a desarrollar, la metodología propuesta (presupuestos y objetivos), duración del mismo y cuántas personas lo pueden hacer.
The working groups will be made based on the composition of the workshops and round tables and their tasks will be to collect the proposals produced in panels. An action& coordination plan will be suggested and discussed at the general meeting on Sunday.
Los grupos de trabajo se conformarán a partir de los talleres y mesas redondas y su cometido será recopilar las propuestas lanzadas en mesas redondas y talleres y proponer un plan de coordinación y acciòn que se discutirá en la asamblea general del domingo 4 de noviembre.
