In Agora 99 we believe that communicating and broadcasting what happens at this meeting is a crosscutting task which can be shared by all participants. Therefore we would like to take advantage of this event to promote the use of tools which facilitate and multiply communication.
En Agora 99 entendemos que la difusión y la comunicación de lo que suceda en este encuentro es una labor transversal y compartida por todas las que lo formamos, por lo tanto nos gustaría aprovechar dicho evento para potenciar el uso de herramientas que facilitan y multiplican esta comunicación.
Very often a simple explanation of social tools is no more than a brief presentation, which may not engage the audience or spark their curiosity to go further. This is why we prefer to use a highly practical approach to these tools.
During the four days of Agora99, we will spend a lot of time together exchanging experiences. Therefore it will be a great opportunity to make practical use of these widely-used social tools.
Don’t forget your laptop and your smartphone.
Muchas veces la simple explicación de las herramientas sociales no va más allá de unas horas de charla, que puede que no llegue a conectar con el interlocutor ni le genere la curiosidad por profundizar en ellas. Por eso nos decantamos por una forma eminentemente práctica de acercamiento a dichas herramientas.
Durante estos cuatro días de encuentro tendremos mucho tiempo para estar juntas e intercambiar experiencias, por lo que sería una gran ocasión para llevar a la práctica el uso de algunas de las herramientas sociales más difundidas.
No os olvidéis de vuestro portátil y smartphones.
#A99TwBs: On Thursday, November 1st, as participants arrive, there will be workshops to introduce the two tools we propose using during the meetings: Twitter and Bambuser. We will open user accounts and provide basic guidance on how to use them. Manuals describing the tools can be downloaded from the Agora99 website.
The aim of these workshops is to provide basic knowhow and to encourage participants to use both Twitter and Bambuser during the four days of the meetings. Each talk, workshop, and assembly will have its own HT (hashtag or tag) so the many sessions can be differentiated in online communication.
At each session there will be at least one support person on hand for Bambuser and another for Twitter. They will answer queries and provide more information as participants become more skilled in the use of these tools.
There will also be an online pad where queries and issues on the use of Twitter and Bambuser can be left. Answers and advice will be provided in the same pad.
On Saturday there will be a closing session: #A99Inputs: “Gathering of inputs #A99TwBs and moving forward”. This session will be organised as follows:
- Report of how communication was organised over the four days – combined use of social networks, use made of official accounts (taking into account parallel sessions), organisation of the website to promote streamed events, etc.
- Comparison of the communication process with that used on marches, demonstrations, strikes, etc.
- Gathering of participants’ impressions

#A99TwBs: Con tal objetivo proponemos para el jueves 1, a medida que van llegando los participantes, impartir talleres en los que haremos una introducción a las dos herramientas que planteamos usar durante el encuentro: Twitter y Bambuser. En estos primeros talleres abriremos cuentas de usuario en dichas herramientas y daremos consejos básicos para su utilización.
Como apoyo pedagógico contaremos con guías básicas de uso, que estarán colgadas en la web y a disposición de los participantes antes de empezar el encuentro.
La intención de estos talleres es dar las nociones básicas para que todas las participantes en el encuentro se animen a utilizar tanto Twitter como Bambuser durante todo el encuentro.
A diario, cada charla, taller y asamblea tendrá un HT (hashtag o etiqueta) distinto para poder referirnos a ese evento en particular a través de las redes.
En cada una de estas sesiones habrá como mínimo una persona de apoyo de Bambuser y otra de Twitter. Su función será resolver dudas e ir dando más indicaciones según vaya avanzando el nivel de destreza de los participantes.
Así mismo, desde el primer día estará habilitado un pad en el cuál se podrán volcar todas las dudas que surjan durante la jornada. Esas dudas se responderán en dicho pad.
El sábado tendremos una sesión de cierre: #A99Inputs: Recopilación de aportaciones de #A99TwBs y avanzando. Esa sesión constará de las siguientes fases:
- Relato de cómo nos hemos organizado durante estos días (usos combinados de redes, cómo se reporta desde las cuentas oficiales teniendo en cuenta la simultaneidad de sesiones, organización de la web para potenciar los streamings, usos combinados de redes, etc).
- Comparación de este proceso con otros desarrollados en marchas, manifestaciones, huelgas, etc.
- Volcado de las impresiones de los participantes.
